P90X Day 18 Completed: P90X Yoga X
Namaste! I just completed P90X Yoga X. Today is day 18 of my P90X workout, which means only 3 more days to the recovery week! These days keep flying by and before you know it I’ll be heading into Phase 2, and then Phase 3!
I think I’m steadily getting better at P90X Yoga X. I feel like I’m able to maintain my balance better on the more difficult poses. I still stumble and fall sometimes during the poses, but I’m slowly improving. The Half Moon and the Standing Splits are 2 poses that I always have trouble with. I normally tumble when I try to do the Half Moon. Also, I can’t lift my leg up all that high and I have trouble holding it up when doing the Standing Splits. Oh yea, and I tried the Crane again today, but failed. I’ll get it one day!
I did the same thing today like I did on P90X Day 11, and I tried to shut off the outside world as much as possible to keep any distractions at a minimum. I also focused on the poses and my breathing versus the timer. Towards the end though, I did find myself going through my to do list in my head. I tried though to push those things aside and focus on the workout. Overall, I think it was a great workout.
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with lettuce, provolone cheese, and extra virgin olive oil dressing.
Mid-Afternoon: Protein shake & P90X Recovery drink after Yoga X.
Dinner: Tonight I’m going to be making pan fried salmon (in extra virgin olive oil), and a salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar dressing.
After-Dinner: Protein shake.

congrats man. Day 18 is such a good feeling. I had a great arm / shoulder day, and I felt Yoga this morning went well, but I couldn’t complete it because of a time constraint. Having 1 1/2 hours of no distractions is Very difficult to come by in my home.
The poses that get me everytime are the ones where you have to hold your legs up for like 3 moves solid. I know I have better flexibility then most, but I am baffled at how flexible the guys on the dvd are. amazing.
Yoga is done! and I have to admit that I really enjoyed it today. I even considered doing again this evening with my husband~ then I sat down and waited for the idea to pass. =0) I found that it flew by this morning and I felt really calm instead of anxious with the time not moving by fast enough. I’ve seen some great improvements with balance but still struggle with some of the moves. The wheel pose…um ok~ maybe one day after I join the circus. Love the improvements, love that everyday more clothes fit again.
Wow! Great job! I’ve never thought about doing it twice…it sounds like you’ve made some great progress with Yoga X. I still struggle with some of the moves today…I think some of the moves just take a lot of flexibility and strength to do, and over time we’ll get better at them.
Yea I definitely can’t do the wheel either. I just stick with Bridge during that pose. Great job again!!!
