P90X Day 24 Completed: P90X Kenpo X

P90X day 24 is complete! Today was Kenpo X, and I had a lot of fun doing this P90X workout like usual! During the “breaks” I did the jumping jacks much faster than Tony Horton to get my heart rate up even more just like onĀ P90X day 20. I feel like I got a great workout, but I definitely think I need to increase the intensity with this workout. I’m really anxious to buy the weighted gloves, because they would really take this workout up a notch.
After looking at the P90X Calendar, tomorrow is X Stretch so it is going to be a really easy day. As weird as it sounds, I’m actually very anxious to get the recovery week over with so I can get back into the weight training. I’ve made some pretty big gains in the number of push ups and pull ups that I can do so I just don’t want to lose that. I’m sure I won’t lose that progress, but it just feels like such a long time not to do any pull ups. I know the P90X program works, so I’ve just got to be patient! Next week will roll around and I’ll probably be wishing I was back in the recovery week!
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Chicken sandwich (thinly sliced chicken with cajun seasoning-it’s really good!) and provolone cheese.
Mid-Afternoon: Protein shake.
Dinner: Broiled jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce. Also had the P90X Recovery drink after Kenpo X.
After-Dinner: Protein shake.

U sore at all from core synergetics? I do that one for the first time in 2 days.
Yea, my arms are somewhat sore from Core Syngergistics. I was really focused on just getting the moves down since it was my first time doing the workout, so I feel like I could have done better. Are you sore from it?

I can’t wait for my Week 4. I’ve had the P90x DVD for awhile now and this is the first time I moved on the Week3.
My arms get really sore when I do Chest and Back…

I’ve got X Stretch today, so that will be pretty easy. I get extremely sore from P90X chest and back too! I’m actually anxious to get back to the weight training.

Long time no post. I’ve been out of town and had lack of internet access.
I kept up as best I could, snowed in without my DVD’s. And what DVD’s I had, I brought the wrong ones. Next time I’ll just bring them all!
I did core synergetics today instead of X-stretch, simply because I figure it is more crucial. I guess it was something I ate or I was just simply losing it after not doing the right workouts for 3 days. I threw up twice during the exercise! I might try to give it a go again later tonight, but I decided it was time to quit at that point. My guts can’t take another round!

Sounds like you did the best you could, and that’s all that matters! I’ve been pretty lucky so far in that I haven’t had to travel anywhere. I’m in the Coast Guards Reserves though, and I have some weekends coming up where it’s going to be tough to get the P90X workouts in.
Core synergistics is tough! I guess it could be anything that’s making you throw up…I hope you get better! Only three more days until the recovery week is over!!! Have a good night!

I took your advice on weighted gloves and did the alternative. I took my wifes mini-2lb dumbbells and held them as I did the arm workouts.
It really does ADD to teh workout. I was sweating pretty good…and my arms were burning at the end of some of the sessions…especially at the very end with the vertical punches.
I might upgrade to the 3lb weights next time.
btw – do you have the notify comments plugin installed twice, or 2 different ones?

No, I only have it installed once…I have no clue why the button shows up twice. Do you have any ideas?? I noticed it awhile back but forgot about it. I really want to get it fixed because it looks tacky having it show up twice.
Nice job doing the p90x workouts. I currently am doing the power90 because Im not physically there YET!!! haha key work YET..
