P90X Day 32 Completed: P90X Yoga X
I just completed day 32 of my P90X workout, Yoga X. Today was one of those days where I was extremely anxious to get through Yoga X. I kept thinking about all of the things I needed to do after the workout (even though Tony Horton specifically says not to do this). I also kept starring at the timer hoping it would go down faster. Sometimes it’s easier said then done to push everything aside and to focus solely on the workout. I did my usual routine of shutting the door to my home office, as well as turn off my cell phone, but that didn’t help today. I guess there will always be days like this at times, especially when there are a million things that need to get done!
Since I wasn’t all that focused on the moves, I honestly was just doing them just to get them done. I really didn’t push that hard to get good stretches or to improve my form. The more I think about, that more I get mad at myself for doing that since I’m only hurting myself by not doing my best. Some of the more simple poses were somewhat painful today from being sore in my biceps & back from P90X day 30. I guess the one good thing today was that I felt like I was able to hold the Crane for a few more milliseconds! :-)
I will have to make sure to “bring it” next time with Yoga X. Maybe I should try doing Yoga X first thing in the morning or even right before I go to bed next week?
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Peanut butter & jelly sandwich (with natural peanut butter). Also had the last of the Chili Con Turkey (it wasn’t much).
Mid-Afternoon: Protein shake.
Dinner: Since it’s Ash Wednesday and my wife is Catholic, we aren’t eating any meat tonight! We are going to have some Tilapia, whole grain rice, and a salad (romaine lettuce, good ole’ bacon bits, and extra virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar as the dressing).
After-Dinner: Protein shake.

My hands slip on my yoga mat from sweat, and sometimes my feet do too. I don’t know if changing my yoga mat will help or if i just have to wait til i stop sweating so much haha. Do you have any suggestions?
Sounds like you’re getting a great workout! :-)
Is you’re mat smooth? Mine has little bumps that all connect together to make the mat if that makes any sense.
Before starting my P90X workout, I always turn off the heat to my home, and I turn the fan on in the living room where I’m doing the workout. That helps keep it cool so I don’t sweat all that much during Yoga. Also, I’ll wear really light clothing. I hope that helps!!! What day are you on with P90X?
I only made it through about 45 mins of the video today…I just couldnt take it. I was so bored! Plus I wanted to watch the MU vs Texas game. Which is a terrible excuse.
Guess I’lll have to punish myself tommorow by going harder.
It was a bad workout for me too! I guess there will always be bad days & good days.
Have been filled with a cold for the last 2 days but haven’t missed a workout yet. Hubby and I decided to do Interval X+ instead of yoga together. He hates yoga too much. What a crazy/good workout. Proud that we haven’t used feeling crappy as an excuse~ we keep bringing it. Took our 30 day pics yesterday and man oh man, what a great difference. The ultimate motivator.
Sorry to hear that you’ve had a cold! Great job in sticking with the workouts and not making any excuses! The both of you are definitely bringing it! Good job! Also, congrats all of your progress so far!
I don’t sweat at all during yoga, is this an issue? I feel like i don’t get a work out even when i “bring it”
No that’s not an issue at all. Yoga X isn’t meant to be a cardio intense workout….it’s meant to help you work on your core, balance, and flexibility. You’ll “bring it” by really focusing on the moves, and getting as deep as you can so you’re increasing your flexibility.
