P90X Day 49 Completed: Rest or X Stretch
Well, I had planned on doing X Stretch today, but I ended up running out of time. Today is day 49 of my P90X workout and it’s a rest day for me! I thought today was going to be a relaxing day (and I would have plenty of time to do X Stretch), but I ended up running around trying to catch up on all of the errands I needed to do. I had a whole list of things that I’ve been putting of and putting off, and I got tired of seeing that list, so I went ahead and did a majority of the errands.
One of the places I went to today was Walmart (I love the cheap prices at WalMart, but I absolutely hate going there). While I was at Walmart I figured I’d look and see if they had any good weighted gloves for Kenpo X. They had some decent looking ankle weights, but they didn’t have any weighted gloves. If I have time on Sunday, I’m going to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods to see if they have any.
Tomorrow the Recovery week begins! Hopefully this upcoming week will fly by so I can start Phase 3 of P90X!
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with extra virgin olive oil dressing.
Mid-Afternoon: Protein shake.
Dinner: Just a boring old peanut butter and strawberry sandwich (sugar free) on a whole wheat english muffin.
After-Dinner: I’m going out with a few buddies for a few drinks this evening, so I probably won’t have anything besides what I drink.

Just completed chest and shoulders and triceps. Quite the thrill to get “some air” on the plyo push ups. Crazy! Still have a mental block on completing the clap but it’s getting there. Have avoided all running and ab work since I irritated my sciatic but will make up for the abs this week during rest week. I’m pretty much pain free as of today so this rest week should be good and then we’re back at it until the end. We’ve been thinking of cutting back on the carbs to the phase 1 level to keep the momentum going. We’ll see how it goes.
Great job! Yea, the Plyo Push-Ups are pretty crazy!!! Completing the clap will come with time! You’ll get it!
That is really good to hear that you’re pain free and that your sciatic nerve hasn’t been bothering you. Good job for stepping it up and doing some extra ab workouts! It seems like P90X is flying by for you two! Before you know it you’ll be P90X graduates! Keep up all of the great work! Let me know if you cut back the carbs and let me know how that goes.
