P90X Day 81 Completed: P90X Yoga X

I just finished day 81 of my P90X workout, Yoga X. I did Yoga pretty early today. I have a lot of things going on this afternoon through the evening so I figured I’d knock it out early. Today I did something a little different. Usually I do Yoga X in our living room, but today I decided to do it in my home office (which seemed like a bad idea at first since my home office reminds me of everything I need to do).

The reason I did it my office is because that part of the house sits in the shade in the morning and stays a lot cooler. I opened the window in my office and there was a nice constant cool breeze that would blow through the room. Seeing the trees through the window, feeling the nice cool spring breeze, and hearing the birds outside really helped me to relax and enjoy Yoga X. Everything that I have on my to do list quickly escaped my thoughts and I focused exclusively on Yoga X. That got me thinking how cool it would be to have a screened in back porch or sun room where I could do my workouts on beautiful days like today!

Yoga X flew by today! I still stumbled some during the Half Moon to the Twisting Half Moon, but I just did the best I could. I seemed to be able to hold the Crane a lot longer than usual today. I’m usually able to hold it in increments of about 10 seconds, but today I held it for a good 15-20 seconds and then I fell out of it. I think being extremely relaxed helps with that move. The other poses went really well, and I tried to get as deep as I could in the stretches & poses. I also gave 100% to Yoga Belly 7 and I was shaking throughout the moves from flexing so hard.

Nutrition for today-

Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal and a protein shake.

Mid-Morning: Protein shake.

Lunch: Sliced Chicken sandwich and extra virgin olive oil dressing.

Mid-Afternoon: Protein shake.

Dinner: Tonight I’m going to be eating something quick and simple since I won’t have a lot of time. I’ll probably just have a sandwich of some kind.

After-Dinner: Protein shake.
