Congrats for finishing day 47! That wouldn’t be a recovery week then! :-) I’d really recommend just doing the recovery week as is. You’ll allow your body to recover from the extreme workouts you’ve been doing so you can continue the growth. It’s really up to you though. Hope that helps Shawn!

Is it okay to swap out yoga and x-stretch next week and put in a lifting workout (chest and back, etc). The program is working great, but yoga is very unmotivating for both of us. We just don’t want to screw anything up.

I have a plan. I’ll just video tape myself doing the p90x routine, add in a different comedy routine. Then you won’t have to watch the lady. Instead you can laugh at my feeble attempts to muster more than one corn cob pull up without cheating.

I appreciate it!! I’ve had times where I haven’t gone up in reps either. As long as you are pushing as hard as you can, I think you’ll be fine. Pushing out more reps seems to be getting harder and harder for me too. I’m afraid at some point I’m going to hit a peak and not be able to push pass it. Everything is changing though so we’ll probably be ok. Next week is the Recovery Week and then onto Phase 3!!!!!

Lol…yea I can’t stand her! I wish there was an option on the menu where you could just mute her! I did actually mute Tony during Ab Ripper X yesterday. Since we’re doing that workout so much, I’ve gotten a little tired of hearing him during that workout. He’s definitely not as bad as that lady in Back & Biceps though!

Keep up the hard work!!! We are more than halfway done P90X!!

Just read through all your updates since I last checked in. Good to hear you are still making progress. I’ve hit a bit of a lull in increased production. A bit frustrating, but I’ll get past it. Pull ups havent improved in almost two weeks :(. I did get through fifer scissors for the first time two days ago without stopping, so that was pretty exciting. I can now do the entire DVD without a break, though I do get a bit sloppy on fifer scissors towards the end.

I laughed everytime the girl talked during back and biceps because I knew you were muttering something about her under your breath. All of the exercises are becoming more familiar, it’s nice. I know what to expect and how to pace myself accordingly.
