We have been doing P90X for 42 days. He had good muscle tone before and now is starting to bulk up. Our program will be done in 6 more weeks and we wanted to try the insanity program to improve endurance and speed for his upcoming basketball season. Considering his weight would this be a good choice?

Oops. I meant to ask if this was possible through P90X. I just realized that I didn’t incorporate that into the original message.

My goal is to get more definition (I have a six pack, although it’s solely due to genetics; I never work them out). But I also want to maintain my strength, if not put on a little more weight. If I never worked out, I’d probably be around 180lbs.
So my question is, can I get ripped while also gaining size? Because you mentioned that either are possible, but I’m wondering if both could be accomplished simultaneously. Being a naturally lean build, I’ve never subscribed to the bulking/cutting method, as I knew I could naturally stay pretty ripped by just lifting.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

By: looking for a different program https://trek2befit.com/p90x-vs-insanity/comment-page-7#comment-45551 Wed, 03 Apr 2013 21:24:03 +0000 http://trek2befit.com/?p=3884#comment-45551 Can anyone recommend a different exercise program? Turbo Fire? Insanity? I just finished P90x classic, stuck to the diet which is how I usually ate, kept calories more at 1200. Gained 10lbs and didn’t lose an inch anywhere, in fact gained a half inch to hips/butt. I made sure to do higher reps. Totally bummed, I’m feeling like I did all that work for… haus’ish arms and tighter jeans.
I’m 5’6″ woman, 34 y.o. I started off 122 lb. now 132. I have hypothyroid and take 30mg of thyroid meds daily. I did this hoping to get back to my normal size 2 -4.
Has anyone else with hypothyroid had luck with any beach body program?
Thanks

My trouble area is my stomach and I have both programs. I have done p90x before and got decent results for just doing it for 2 months but definitely not where I wanted to be. I am more then ever determined now to get in AMAZING shape but am not sure what program will be the best for me. Today I tried insanity and love it but am familiar to p90x. I just wanted to know what you believe to be the better program for someone who is not overweight (pretty decent shape I am a runner) but I would love to be at 115-120 with a flat ab like stomach. thanks!

I’ve been working out at the gym but I don’t think that is going to be enough to get a good body in a short time. I already started a balance diet and lose 3 pounds in a week but a friend told me about Insanity so i purchased. The question is will get my a nice body in a short time with a nice 6 pack? HELP!
