CONGRATS for getting to week 6 Carla! It’s not the pounds that matter…it’s the inches! :-) Have you been keeping track of that?

I have been doing the doubles routine since I started. I have not lost even a pound yet but I am hoping that it will start coming off. I have noticed that I am getting firmer.

The Diamond pack is I think $699, and it is an incredible deal since it has over $1,100 worth of fitness programs (P90X, Insanity, Turbo Jam, etc.), nutritional produces (Shakeology, P90X Recovery Drink, P90X multivitamin, etc.), and business marketing supplies.

You can sign up as a Coach on my team at the following website, which is where you can get the Beachbody Diamond Pack-

I’ve decided not to focus all that much on building mass any more (but if I gain some mass, I’ll definitely be excited!). Insanity does technically have some resistance training, but it is using your own body weight so you’re right if you’re trying to build mass it will probably be pretty limited. I don’t have all that much mass to lose, so I don’t think it would hurt..if anything I’d get my abs to pop out more. So many decisions!!!

This upcoming week is the Recovery week so you could always replace a couple of the workouts with the 2 workouts you missed. On Sunday, my wife and I are going to do the Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps, & Ab Ripper X workouts instead of doing Yoga X. A few weeks ago when we did that workout we both gave it about 50% of our efforts (we were both dead from a wedding the night before…the open bar is what got us!) so we decided to re-do it during the recovery week.

The gloves did work! The pair I have is very light though…I think maybe 3 or 4 pounds total? I’d recommend getting at least 5 pounds total or more to have more of an impact. Try them on before you buy them and do a few Kenpo X moves to make sure they don’t move around….otherwise it will be very uncomfortable when punching, etc. I would LOVE to have a weighted vest. I’d like to get one that you can adjust the weight so I can increase the weight as needed. I’ll have to add that to my Christmas list which is getting pretty long now! :-)

But I don’t think you want to completely replace your p90x with insanity. You need to continue to weight train in order to build mass. Insanity seems more about endurance than building new muscle.

I slacked bad this week. So disappointed. I missed Monday and Tuesday’s workouts. Really no excuse for either day. I pushed it hard yesterday though to make up for it.

So the gloves worked? I was checking them out the other day at a sporting goods store, those and weighted vest. I didn’t purchase either. I think the gloves might be good to go. What are they? 5lbs? I think the 40lbs weighted vest would be overkill. Plyo STILL kicks my butt everytime.
