Thanks for the blog post. I am in first phase of p90x2, i hate skipping days but i get shoulder lock if I push hard and don’t rest the back muscle. So some time I take a day off after rest day, to keep myself working out. I had pains last time when i stop working out and gained tons of weight.

Reading this gave me relief. I know I won’t get full results (may be) But at-least i will stay on the program… (I speak Alot sorry, will stop it here)

Lots of Love

Positive mindset and thinking about my day 90 results made me keep “bringing it”, and I hope everyone in my position is doing the same. I’m going to bed at 1:00 AM almost every day because of P90X, but I guess it’ll be worth the lack of sleep when I’ll finally get to see the results!

I have injured my right leg before so when there is a lot of impact it tends to hurt for days. Considering insanity requires you to jump up and down a lot, can I subsitute that for like squats? Or should I try to stick with another workout.

During week 3 of p90x I ran into some IT band or pirformis issues so instead of being able to do the normal recovery week I pretty much had to take a week off. I found motivation lacking coming back, but managed to get going again. My leg/hip has recovered, but less than a week later now my elbow is giving me issues when doing push-ups. I know better than to push through non soreness pain issues, so I’m pretty much done. Should I just start anew when I’ve recovered?

Fatima,
Don’t worry about missing that week. Since you only did 2 weeks then a “recovery” you’re not that far into the program. Rest a day and gain your strength back and begin the program from start. Remember don’t try to over think it. Two extra weeks of fitness in your life will not kill you will only make you stronger and you’ll be surprised to see your self handling the first weeks a lot easier than when you began. This will be very enjoying when restarting. Have a great time hun, remember getting fit should not be stressful but fun!

Tomorrow will be my Legs & Back day, I had a hard time doing the Yoga X this morning as my body was sore and I felt giddy, but I completed it, just that it was harder than it usually is, plus I wasn’t sweating a lot doing the Yoga today, could be because I was already a bit ill.

You helped me with my decision :) Thanks again!

I agree 100% with you! If they are saying P90X is easy, then they aren’t pushing hard enough!

Great job buddy! KEEP pushing play and keep us updated!

i had great success by just doing the program and my own nutrition. now i am looking forward to making the nutrition a bigger part of my success.

my motivation is that if i miss a day or more i know that it’s going to be more difficult to get back. when you get it in your mind that missing a day was your mistake then you’ll know that you have adopted a new lifestyle.
