Thanks buddy! Great job for sticking with your journey!

If you feel like you are ready for Phase 2, then go ahead and make week 3 the last week you’re in Phase 1. They recommend spending 3-5 weeks in Phase 1 so you can move on if you feel like you’re ready. You’ll love Phase 2! :-)

Yea, if you don’t need a recovery week, then go right into Phase 2.

Keep pushing play Jay and keep us updated!

First I just want to say that I find your site very insightful and nice!

I’m right now doing P90X2, since I’m a graduate of both the “normal” P90X and a P90x and an Insanity hybrid. The P90x/Insanity Hybrid was really insane, I got into a shape I previously didn’t think was possible. I decided to follow up the hybrid by immediately doing P90X2. My main goal now was to really bring the six-pack forward and continue my muscle growth with new excercises. As of now, the only “giving” excercise is the “full body” workout. Even though, this is not enough to sustain my muscle mass. I feel as I lose more of my possibility to do pull-ups and push-ups each day.

Now to my problem: I’m in the third week of Phase 1, and I find it easy. Too easy. It is just as you wrote: the moves get harder the second and third time you do them, but it’s still not enough (I think). The new “restday” with Recovery and Mobility is making me crazy, I WANT TO BRING IT!

Now to my question: do you think it is possible to add an excercise on the restday now in Phase 1, and also: do you think I can skip the recovery week, sice I don’t know what to recover from, and hop right in to Phase 2 where I’m going to really give it all in 4 weeks (5 if I skip the Recovery week)? I’m just on the edge of perfect fitness and just want that last little definition to the summer, and I thought I’d get it by X2 (which by the way has awesome core workouts, and that’s in fact the only area I find that I have improved in Phase 1). It is also worth saying that I’m only 18-years old and have no injuries or problems what-so-ever.

Eagerly waiting for your answer

//Jay

CONGRATS for starting Phase 2! You’re going to love it. Yea the Chest, Back & Balance will definitely kick your butt, but it’s a lot of fun.

They are both awesome workouts! I was sore for a few days after both of those workouts. Let us know how this week goes for you!

I really enjoyed Phase 1 and definitely like the variety of the overall program. Chest, Back & Balance really looks like a butt-kicker, but I’m excited to get back to the original P90X feel with Phase 2. How are the Shoulders & Arms and Base & Back workouts?

I am down 3 pounds after three weeks and will do one more week of Phase one, then everything gets blown out as I go on a cruise :) But we will start Phase 2 after I get back.

I agree that the balance is difficult, and the way Core revs up halfway through is amazing.

I have balance challenges as well due to my knees one of which has been scoped the other probably should be.
I adjust moves accordingly and will be starting phase 2 of p90x tomorrow – can’t wait!
