I was being sarcastic in my blog post above about you might as well do nothing if you’re not getting enough sleep. I edited that so hopefully that’s a little more clear. You really should be getting at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep, but obviously your situation is a little different.

If I were you I wouldn’t wait months to get on a program. I would still get on some type of workout program no matter what so you are doing something. P90X is a great program to get going with. The only issue is how much time will you have to devote to your workouts? You may need a shorter program if you don’t have a lot of time to devote.

The problem is that the babies (15 months and 2 months) wake each other up literally all night long so I’m seriously talking sleep deprivation like i never would’ve dreamed… how much sleep is necessary for building muscle and not injuring myself? I literally only get like three uninterrupted hours a night plus a few 10 or 20 minute catnaps here and there throughout the day.
What is safe/reasonable to do and expect at this point? Or should i just wait a few more months til everyone learns how to sleep?
Thanks

Thanks for the kind words! Yea, I agree people don’t realize how big of an impact a lack of sleep has!

A new mom can most definitely do P90X! CONGRATS on your new addition to your family by the way!

So you’re looking for more energy? What other goals do you have? It sounds like you’re leaning towards doing P90X?

My babies wake up (seriously) every two hours all night long. Do I have to wait til they are sleeping through the night before I can try to be fit again? I’m exhausted 24/7 but I was hoping some kind of workout might help boost what little energy i have :(
Is there any kind of workout i can do?
