It makes sense. My last question (for now), is it ok to start with the exercises first thing in the morning when I wake up even before I eat breakfast? Before I was doing the exercises very late, pretty much the 11 o’clock at night to 12 hr. I lose energy during the day due to sleeping problems. insomnia sucks. but yeah is it fine to do the work out then eat healthy the rest of the day. eat my first meal AFTER i work out. and then continue to eat every several hours…

You’ll still get results with lean. Just do your best and forget the rest. Stick with the schedule even if you don’t do well your first time.

After reading that, makes even more sense for me to stick with lean for these 90 days. Will I still get results with lean? I’m not sure, you might of answered that. Yesterday I tried core syngeristics as that was first exercise for Lean P90x. kinda difficult for me, because im unfamiliar with a lot of the different moves. should i try it again tomorrow or jus go on to the next one and do my best with CARDIO X??

Tomorrow I’m going to try hard to bring it best i can. I’m try my best with lean. It’s probably what may suit my body best at this time. I calculated all the numbers, by that I mean my RMR resting metabolic rate. 160 my body weight times ten is 1600. x .20= 320+ daily activity burn which is 600 i think. add those numbers up: =total of 2520. so that puts me in the nutrition level II. I need to eat 2400 total calories a day. Fat shredder phase is what i think im in. And a calorie= 3500 calories if I am not mistaken. 3500-2400= 900 calorie difference. Does that sound right??

Looks like this may be a duplicate comment?

Congrats for getting P90X! They are all great schedules, and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Check out this post for more info on the different P90X schedules – https://trek2befit.com/p90x-workout-schedule

As far as pushups/pull ups just do the best you can!

I just purchased a P90X program and was wondering if there’s a particular one you would start out with for the first round: between Classic, Doubles, and Lean? The classic seemed pretty intimidating, so im thinking of switching to Lean. I’m about 5’8 or 5’9 160-165 pounds. My goal is to tone up. Lose whatever layer of fat i have on my stomach. Also, if you eat healthy and do the exercises the best you can, but don’t do for example pull-ups could you still get good results? I didn’t buy any of the P90x product. I have an iron gym, that can be used for push ups and pulls ups. but my parent’s are afraid that i will either get injured from it (i don’t really know how to do push ups, also they feel it might break down the door and cause damage) Is it okay to do them in a different round of P90x, i plan on doing more than one round

I just came across your blog, by going thru videos on YOUTUBE. I purchased P90X. This is the first time I’ve done a exercise program like this. I started out the classic, but it seemed a bit intimidating. I’m about 5’8 or 59 160-165 pounds. So, definitely not the biggest guy in the world. My problem has always been whatever bodyfat I do have it’s all in my lower stomach. ]: do you think someone my size and someone who doing their first round of P90x should start with doing LEAN first? I plan on doing at least another round, or two. Also, is it okay to not do pull-ups at least the first time, but try to do most of the other exercises as well as eating healthy as possible? I had bought a iron gym that can be used for push ups, sit-ups and pull-ups by it seemed awkward hanging from the top of the door, im scared it might not be secure, also im not balanced enough or strong enough at the moment to do them

If you’re not doing the pullups or not using the resistance bands with the door attachment kit then you won’t get the same results. Couldn’t tell you what kind of results you’ll see skipping those moves.

Yes! :-) Fitness and eating right shouldn’t be just a 90 day thing! It should be a lifelong thing!
