P90X Chair Salutations
I just finished my P90X workout for the day! Today was Legs & Back, and Ab Ripper X. Legs & Back went great today! I used 20 pound dumbbells for all of the leg exercises that Tony recommends using dumbbells (last week I used 15 pound dumbbells). Since I increased my weight, I did have to pause the P90X DVD several times to take breaks to ensure I did all the reps and to maintain proper form. Last week with only 15 pound dumbbells was tough, so adding 5 more pounds made a pretty big difference! About halfway through the Calf Raises my calves were on fire!
For the pull ups, I was able to add 1 rep for all of the sets with the exception of the first set of the Switch Grip Pull ups. That was another improvement from last week since last week I pretty much stayed at the same reps from the prior week. Ab Ripper X went great as well! I made it through the entire workout with taking a break, and I did all of the reps. I also did the difficult versions of a majority of the exercises. Today I probably made it to about the 7th or 8th rep on each side during the Leg Climb while just going straight to my toes/shines.
Overall, I had a great day with P90X! I can’t believe I am almost to the halfway point of P90X! In 5 days, there will only be 45 days left of P90X!!!
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with lettuce, provolone cheese, and extra virgin olive oil dressing.
Mid-Afternoon: P90X Recovery drink and protein shake after Legs and Back, & Ab Ripper X.
Dinner: Tonight my wife and I are supposed to go to a restaurant (she told me the restaurant, but I forgot the name of it) to have dinner with a local Jaycees Chapter so I’m not sure what we’ll be eating for dinner. I’m going to eat something prior to going so I don’t over indulge at dinner.
After-Dinner: Protein shake.
