P90X Week 2
My wife and I are just about finished week 2 of the P90X workout! It has been another crazy week, but things are starting to get somewhat back to normal. We ended up having to do Yoga X, Legs and Back, and Kenpo X separately due to work related events we had going on, but it all worked out. I just did those workouts about mid-afternoon, and my wife did them either first thing in the morning or late in the evening. The other days we’ve been doing the workouts in the evenings like usual.
Check out the below video I put together with me giving a recap of how P90X week 2 went with my wife and I-

I can’t keep up with the blog! I’m still staying active and getting my workouts in. I just dont have time it seems to write something even worth it.
Glad to hear your round 2 is going well! I’ll tell you one thing that suprised me so far. I went from last softball season being one of the slowest on the team. To this season, beating almost everyone to balls in the outfield and running faster/harder the whole game than almost everyone on the team.
I just got done with shoulders/arms. I feel like I ripped it. I do need to go spend some money on some heavier weights. I’m considering buying an adjustable dumbell. My reps are going up in most catergories, save tricep extensions. I’m still dead at around 14ish reps with 20 lbs.
Awesome to hear your wife is doing so well. Be careful or she will pass you soon!
I totally understand! It get’s pretty time consuming at times and sometimes you feel like you talk about the same thing over and over again. All that matters is that you’re getting your workout’s in!!!
That’s awesome that you’ve had such a big improvement during softball!! I still haven’t had a chance yet to play any sports so I can see my P90X improvements. I have my Coast Guard drills this weekend and then I go right into 2 weeks of active duty, so I’m sure at some point will be taking out PT test.
Great job with the P90X Shoulders and Arms workout! Let me know if you do end up buying adjustable dumbbells. I’d love to hear what you end up buying and how they work out. My wife and I don’t have a lot of space to work with so having 1 compact set of dumbbells would be awesome. Shoulders and Arms went great for me too. My biceps and shoulders are extremely sore today.
For real! Her reps are getting up there so she may have to increase her weight soon! She’s doing awesome, and I’m sure she’ll be able to do pull ups without a chair by the end of the program.
By the way, what day are you own now in round 2? I’ve kind of last track of the days and just know what week I’m on (week 3). Tomorrow I’ve got Legs and Back.
I just did what I consider day 11. In reality I’m much farther into it. I got a sinus infection and couldn’t get effective workouts in for over a week and a half. I figured it better to rest and restart. So far I havent missed a day through these 11. I’m feeling good. Did Cardio X today(subbing it for yoga). I really like that DVD.
I think I’m just going to buy a 30 lb dumbel for now. I already have one. I just can’t see putting several hundred dollars down on something I’m not ready for yet anyways.
I would have done the same thing if I had gotten sick. You’ve got to let your body get well so you did the right thing. I still have yet to do Cardio X, but I may have to sub it for Yoga X this coming up week since I’ll be doing my 2 weeks of active duty with the Coast Guard (I won’t have much time).
That’s definitely a good thing though if you are having to go out and buy heavier dumbbells! Great job! Keep up the awesome work!!!!
P.S. NICE MUSIC!
Appreciate it! I love some classic rock!!!! It gets me pumped up!
