Team USA celebrates Zach Parise's game-tying goal
Day 43 of my P90X workout is finally over! Today I did Ab Ripper X earlier in the afternoon, and I just finished Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. I would have done the workouts back to back, but I couldn’t miss USA play Canada in the Men’s Olympic Ice Hockey game. I really thought we were going to pull it out after that amazing shot by Zach Parise. When he made that shot my wife and both jumped off the couch screaming with excitement and our dog started running around the Living Room in circles. It was a major disappointment when Canada scored during overtime.
Back to my P90X workout! I think I did pretty good with Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. This is a tough workout, but I managed to push out 1-2 more reps for almost all of the exercises. I also increased my weight by 5 pounds for several of the exercises. Is anyone able to do the One-Arm Push ups?!? I can barely do any with my knees on the ground!!! I don’t expect to be able to do a One-Arm push up by the end of P90X, but who knows! I’m pretty excited to get back to the original Chest & Back workout, because I think I like that one better (probably because it’s easier :-) ).
Ab Ripper X went great like usual. I did all of the moves without stopping! I also did the difficult versions of all of the exercises, except for the Leg Climb. I almost made it through all of the reps while just touching my shins. I did all 12 reps on my right leg with just touching my shins, and I made it to about the 7th rep on my left leg just touching my shins.
