Holy crap!!! P90X Plyometrics kicked my butt! I literally just finished P90X Plyometrics a few minutes ago, and I’m still dripping in sweat (I’m drinking my P90X Recovery drink as I’m typing this). My hip flexors are really sore from doing Ab Ripper X yesterday, so that made this P90X workout even harder.
The P90X Plyometrics workout consists of over 30 different jumping exercises such as jump squats, airborne heismans, leapfrog squats, etc. Tony Horton emphasizes thinking like a “cat” by leaping off the toes and landing softly and quietly on the balls of the feet to minimize the risk of injury during the exercises. I have never really enjoyed cardio exercises, but the P90X Plyometrics was actually pretty fun.Continue reading
I just completed day 1 of the P90X workout!!! Only 89 more days to go :-)! Day 1 was Chest and Back, and the Ab Ripper X.The Chest and Back workout consists of 12 different exercises (lots of pull ups with the the P90X pull up bar, push ups, etc.), with 2 sets of each exercise (you go through all of the exercises once, and then you do it all over again, except in reverse order). The first set wasn’t so bad, but by the time I got to the second set, I was definitely feeling the pain (a good kind of pain). I pushed through it, and I feel like I got a great workout.Continue reading
Only 1 more day until I start my P90X workout (not counting today)! I’ve got a very busy weekend ahead of me, but I’m extremely excited to finally start P90X. Anyone who is currently doing P90X (or have completed it before), or about to start, make sure to leave me comments below (any advice, questions, how you’re doing, etc.)!
For all of you who are just starting P90X just like me, I figured you would find having the P90X worksheets as a PDF very helpful. Simply print out the P90X worksheets so you can write your progress on them versus writing directly in the P90X Fitness Guide.Continue reading
Only 2 more days until I start the P90X workout! Yesterday evening I completed the P90X fit test (that’s why I wasn’t able to post). If you’re about to start the P90X workout, then you should definitely make sure to do the fit test prior to starting P90X. The fit test ensures you are at a fitness level that is adequate to be able to get through the P90X program, and will show how much you’ve improved after completing P90X (you will take the fit test again at the completion of P90X).
Here are the P90X fit test pages from the P90X Fitness Guide as a PDF document (click here). You can print this out and use it to write down your P90X fit test results as well as your body measurements.Continue reading
Phewww!!! I’m for the most part finished setting up my P90X Workout Blog. It has taken a lot longer then I had expected. It will definitely always be a work in progress though.
Now it’s time to start counting down the days until I officially start the P90X workout! The date that I have set on when I’ll start P90X is on Sunday, January 17th, 2009. Continue reading
