P90X Day 14 Completed: P90X Rest or X Stretch

I just completed day 14 of my P90X workout. That means I have officially completed 2 weeks of P90X! That’s crazy to think it’s already been 2 weeks of P90X!! The first week of the P90X workout program went by really slow, but this week has really just flown by.

Today was the P90X X Stretch. I’ll be honest, I was tempted to almost skip this P90X workout since it’s optional (and I’m lazy), but I decided to go ahead and knock it out. I’m really glad that I did it, because the stretches felt really good!

P90X Day 13 Completed: P90X Kenpo X

P90X Kenpo X

P90X Kenpo X

It is Friday (TGIF), and I just completed day 13 of my P90X journey! Today was my favorite P90X workout, Kenpo X! I was really pumped and excited to do this workout. That excitement helped me to push extremely hard during this workout (I didn’t have to pause the P90X DVD at all). I punched, blocked, and kicked as hard as I could during the exercises. I was easily able to get my heart rate in the zone and I was dripping in sweat from the workout.

P90X Day 12 Completed: P90X Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X

P90X Reverse Grip Chin-up

P90X Reverse Grip Chin-up

Today is day 12 of my P90X workout! I just completed Ab Ripper X and Legs & Back. I did Ab Ripper X first, then I took a short break, and I completed Legs & Back. I definitely feel like I’ve made some major progress with the Ab Ripper X workout. Since I was able to get through the Fifer Scissor and the Mason Twist without stopping on P90X Day 10 (I did however pause the P90X DVD for a short break prior to starting them), I felt like I had to do better than that. So today I pushed through all of the beginning exercises, pushed through Fifer Scissor (did all reps, without taking a break prior), pushed through Hip Rock ‘N Raise, and then I took a short break after Hip Rock N’ Raise. I continued doing the exercises and I took another break prior to starting the Oblique V-Ups. I then did the Oblique V-Ups, and I of course had to take one more break prior to the Mason Twist. I was able to push through all 50 reps again. Maybe on Sunday I will be able to get through Ab Ripper X with only 2 breaks?!?

P90X Day 11 Completed: P90X Yoga X

P90X Yoga X Crane

P90X Yoga X Crane

Ahhhhhhh! I just completed an intense, but very relaxing day 11 of my P90X workout. Today was Yoga X. It was definitely tough for me doing some of poses, but I feel like I did a lot better then P90X day 4. I even enjoyed Yoga X today!

I pretty much have the moving asanas down (at least I think I do) but I did struggle with the Half Moon, Twisting Half Moon, Triangle Pose, Twisting Triangle, and the Standing Splits (there may be more, that’s all I can remember). I get off balance very easily and I’m also not very flexible, so I think those will just take time for me to get better at. Oh, and of course I can’t even get close to doing the Crane. I think it would be so cool if by the end of P90X I could do the Crane! It would be a HUGE testament to the P90X program if I could accomplish that!

P90X Day 10 Completed: P90X Shoulders and Arms, Ab Ripper X

P90X Ab Ripper X Fiffer Scissor

P90X Ab Ripper X Fiffer Scissor

I just completed day 10 of my P90X workout!! Now I’ve only got 80 more days to go! Today was Shoulders and Arms and Ab Ripper X. It was a great workout and my arms, shoulders, and abs are exhausted!

I was finally able to find a store  that had the plates I needed for my dumbbells (Dick’s Sporting Goods; I should have gone there first). So today I increased my weight on most of the exercises by 10 pounds. Towards the end of the workout I had to go back down to my original weight, but I pushed harder today and I got a great workout.

P90X Day 9 Completed: P90X Plyometrics

P90X Plyometrics

P90X Plyometrics

Shouldn’t the P90X workouts be getting easier by now? I guess not, because P90X Plyometrics killed me again! At about the 35 minute mark I had to pause the P90X DVD and take an extended break to catch my breath and let my legs rest. I then continued the workout and at about the 20 minute mark I had to pause again to take another break! This time I had a cramp from the smoothie I had prior to my workout (I definitely should have listened to Tony Horton’s advice and waited at least an hour prior to starting P90X Plyometrics).
