The Insanity Workout Schedule is one of the most intense and invigorating workout schedules I have personally experienced; it is certainly not for the faint of heart! Billed as one of the most intense workout programs Team Beachbody has ever put onto DVD, the Insanity Workout Schedule is focused on cardio in all of its glory. At 60 days long it might seem like something you would want to take on starting out to get back into fitness, but if you are a beginner in the workout world or have physical limitations like knee problems, you might be better off with another fitness program. I’ll bet you’re asking yourself what you need to get started on the Insanity Workout Schedule; do you need any equipment or can you complete the program using things you already have at home? Good news! With the Insanity Workout Schedule all you need is yourself in your living room in front of your TV with your Insanity DVD’s. With the Insanity fitness program you don’t need ANY equipment (with the exception of a yoga mat if you have hardwood floors). You don’t need a pull up bar, dumbbells or any other equipment like that. With the Insanity program you are using your body weight as the resistance which makes this a great program for people who travel a lot or who just don’t want to have to buy and store lots of heavy/bulky equipment.

To put it simply, the Insanity Workout Schedule is all about using cardio to burn fat and get as toned as you’ve ever been in your life. During some of the workouts in the Insanity program you can burn as many as 1,000 calories at a time; how’s that for insane? To start out the workouts are about 45 minutes long, and this part of the schedule goes on for the first 30 days before increasing to 55 and 60 minutes in the second month.
