P90X2 Equipment

P90X2 Equipment

So what P90X2 equipment do you need to be able to do the next P90X, P90X2? If you’ve already gone through the original P90X, then you very likely have most of the P90X2 equipment that you’ll need. There are though some optional P90X2 equipment that you’ll want to get so you can take things to a whole new level. I’ll give you a hint on some of the optional equipment…it has something to do with balls! :-)

In this post I wanted to give you a run down on the “P90X2 equipment” that you must have to be able to do this program, and I’ll also go over the optional P90X2 equipment.

Required P90X2 Equipment

What Do You Need For P90X2

P90X2 Equipment

So here’s the required P90X2 equipment that you must have in order to do P90X2-

  • P90X2 DVD’s, Fitness Guide, & Nutrition Guide. The P90X2 program comes with 14 different workouts, the Nutrition Guide, and the Fitness Guide. If you want to gurantee that you won’t get ripped off with a pirated copy, or make sure you get everything you need, then buy it direct from Team Beachbody here. You’ll also get 2 free workout DVD’s just for ordering through my blog since I’m a Coach.
  • Resistance Bands OR Dumbbells. Either of these options is just as effective, usually it’s just a matter of personal preference. I personally prefer using dumbbells, but resistance bands are great if you travel a lot (I actually have both). Plus the resistance bands are heck of a lot cheaper then dumbbells.
  • Pull-up Bar. As an alternative to a pull up bar you could always buy a pull up stand, but it’s going to be more expensive then just getting a pull up bar that attaches in a doorway.

Bare Minimum P90X2 Equipment That You’ll Need

If you’re on a really, really tight budget, then from what I heard from the man himself, Tony Horton, you’ll be able to do P90X2 with nothing but some resistance bands, ordinary furniture, and good ole’ gravity. They have “hotel variations” of all of the exercises done in the workouts, so even if you’re traveling you’ll be able to stick with your P90X2 workouts.

Optional, But Highly Recommend P90X2 Equipment

This is the optional P90X2 equipment, but it is highly recommend that you get it so you can get the most out of the workouts-

  • Stability Ball. This is one of those big blue balls (for some reason that just doesn’t sound right :-)).
  • Foam Roller. This is a new piece of equipment for me (I’ve never used one of these prior to P90X2)!
  • (2) 8 lb. Medicine Balls. These are those basketball sized balls that are pretty heavy. You’ll be using these with the push ups! :-)
  • Yoga Mat. If you already have P90X, then you likely already have one of these. This is especially important if you have hardwood floors in your home.
  • Yoga Blocks. This is another piece of equipment that you may already have if you’ve done the original P90X. This is highly recommend for people who aren’t as flexible (like me) or new to Yoga.
  • Push Up Bars. If you have wrist issues, then you’ll want to get a set of these. The push up bars will help alleviate any stress or pain in your wrists from doing push ups. I personally have a set and they work awesome!

That is all of the optional P90X2 equipment that you’ll really want to consider getting. Again, if you’re on a super tight budget, then you can get by with just the resistance bands and the P90X2 Program.

If you want to make sure you have what you need and so you save the most money, then I’d recommend the P90X2 Deluxe or the P90X2 Ultimate package.
