Pop quiz- what’s an incredibly intense workout, a 90-minute house of pain that’s guaranteed to turn you into an impenetrable fortress of manliness? Most guys wouldn’t guess, but it’s yoga. They’re the ones you don’t see behind those giant pecs you’ve been piling on. Stabilizer muscles help to keep all of your other muscles in place. When a big muscle goes somewhere it shouldn’t go, your stabilizer muscles bring it back in line. Without strong stabilizer muscles, you put yourself at an increased risk of injury.
Do you want to know what’s weak? Getting injured all the time and missing your workouts because you’re in too much pain. Yoga helps you develop the entire picture, not just what you see up front.

Not kidding bro. Just sack up and go to some yoga class, and you’ll find it’s swimming full of hotties doing poses. If you’ve already got a girlfriend, what better way to get fit together? Unlike a lot of other exercises, you can’t get enough yoga. Running depletes your energy stores, and weightlifting requires the right combination of resting and active phases. Yoga is different. You can do it any day of the week, anywhere you are, and for however long you want.
I do lot of yoga when I’m out on business trips or visiting family because it doesn’t require any equipment but me. If your excuse for not working out is not being near your television so you can do Yoga X with Tony Horton, you need to do more yoga.

Because yoga builds up your stabilizer muscles, you’ll be even stronger the next time you work out everything else. The big thing I noticed was that my movements were a lot more smooth and controlled. That’s what yoga does. It forces you to pay attention to every little detail of what’s going on in your body. You’ll know if you aren’t doing the movement correctly.
Yoga also builds stamina, something you’ll need to keep it together through those long sets. It’s not easy holding the same pose for more than 90 seconds. Every time you do that, you’re getting mentally prepared to kill it in your other P90X workouts.

Yoga helps you build an inner calm and focus that’s totally manly. Real dudes don’t let their attention drift to whatever is in front of them. They see the goal, line up for it, and accomplish what they set out to do. If you’re stressed out right now, and you don’t know why, try some yoga. It will calm you down and make you see what’s really important. Instead of freaking about everything (not manly at all ), you’ll learn how to focus and act when the time is right.
So dude, I’m not trying to push pink yogurt or anything like that on you. Yoga is swagger, intensity, and manly focus all wrapped up in a deceptive package. You can do it any time you want, and the ladies will love you for it. So break out those yoga DVDs, and do work. You totally need it.
