P90X Day 67 Completed: P90X Yoga X

P90X Yoga X Half Moon

P90X Yoga X Half Moon

Today is day 67 of my P90X workout, and I just finished an intense but very relaxing session of Yoga X. I did my usual routine of trying to shut off the world around me as much as possible, and I also used an envelope that I cut in half to hide the timer on my television screen (just like P90X day 60). Doing that really helped me again to not focus on how much time is left, and I didn’t find myself getting anxious for the workout to be over with. I’m definitely going to keep doing that for Yoga X, and for any other workouts if I’m feeling stressed or anxious to get through the workout.

All of the stretching and the different poses felt great like usual! My biceps and back are pretty sore from yesterday’s workout. I’m still stumbling with the Half Moon and a few of the other poses (they all happen around the Half Moon), but I think I’m making some progress! Also during the Crane, I was still only able to hold it for about 10 seconds or so and then I’d lose my balance and fall into my pillow. It takes an extreme amount of balance and strength to hold this pose so I guess I’ll slowly get there!

I really pushed hard today during the Yoga Belly 7! I kept pushing my heals to the back of the room as hard as I could during the Torso Twist Holds. When I finally got to the last Touch the Sky my abs were getting pretty tired. During that move my abs were shaking as I kept holding it and pushing my legs and arms higher and higher. My abs definitely got a great workout!

I can’t believe that it’s already Wednesday!!! I’m pretty excited for the weekend because I’ll hopefully not have to work like last weekend!
