P90X Day 16 Completed: P90X Plyometrics

P90X Plyometrics Lunges

I just completed day 16 of my P90X workout. Today was P90X Plyometrics, and it kicked my butt again! My wife did the workout with me today so that made the workout more fun. Having her do the workout with me made me want to push even harder. I didn’t want her to show me up like she did on P90X day 10 during Ab Ripper X!

P90X Plyometrics is just a really tough workout that never seems to get easier. The squats always destroy my legs. My legs get really tired even during the warm-up towards the end of the Deep Prayer Squats. My wife and I actually made it pretty far until we had to pause the P90X DVD for an extended break (well at least farther than usual for me). I think we paused it around the Jump Knee Tuck exercise. We paused the P90X DVD once more around the Squat Jack exercise. This workout killed both of us, so I’m really not sure who did better. COUGH! COUmeGH! :-) I’m sure she’ll tell you otherwise.

Well, even though this workout is super hard and very challenging, I always feel great after it’s over. It’s an awesome cardio workout and I know I’m burning a ton of calories. I wish I had one of those devices that measures how many calories you burn, because it would be interesting to know how many I actually burn during Plyometrics.

Nutrition for today-

Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.

Mid-Morning: Protein shake.

Lunch: Turkey sandwich with lettuce, provolone cheese, and extra virgin olive oil dressing. Also had a protein shake.

Mid-Afternoon: Had a protein shake.

Dinner: Peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich (it was made with splenda, so no sugar).

After-Dinner: Protein shake.

I know, I know, my diet is really boring! I’m not much of a cook, so my wife and I tend to eat the same thing over and over again! She can cook really good, but she works longer hours away from home so I tend do a lot of the cooking (if you want to call it that :-)).
