Today is day 60 of my P90X workout, and I just finished Yoga X. Yoga X went very well today! Usually when I do it by myself I get pretty anxious about halfway through for it to be over with. Today I tried a new tactic to keep me going. I took a white envelope, cut it in half, and then I stuck it to the right corner of my TV where the timer is located (the static from the TV screen held it in place). That actually worked very well and I quickly forgot about the timer and I didn’t get anxious for the workout to be over with. I think I may continue to do that whenever I do Yoga X.
Not worrying about how much time is left in the workout really helped me focus on the workout. I tried to get as deep as I could in all of the stretches and poses. My balance was a little off today for some reason, so I wasn’t able to hold the Crane as long as I have before. Today I would hold the Crane for 10 seconds or so, I would fall out of it, and then I would get back into it and hold it some more. Also, the stretches during Yoga X felt really good today! My shoulders and biceps are pretty sore from yesterday so it felt good to stretch them out.
Tomorrow is Legs and Back, and Ab Ripper X! This week is flying by! Before you know it, it’ll be the weekend!
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Leftover fish tacos with tuna, black beans, lettuce, and tomatoes.
Mid-Afternoon: Protein shake after Yoga X.
Dinner: I’m not sure what we are having this evening for dinner. I think we might be going over to a friend’s house since it’s Saint Patrick’s Day.
After-Dinner: Protein shake.
