3 Ways P90X Could Help You Survive a Zombie Outbreak

P90X Could Help You Survive a Zombie Outbreak

What if there was a Zombie outbreak in your hometown, or even worse, an outbreak across the world? What would you do, how would you survive?!? Well, the good news is that you’ve been doing the P90X workout, or you’re about to start the P90X workout. By doing P90X, you’ll have a huge advantage over our dead cousins. The bad news, is that per the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, zombies live off of living human flesh (pretty disgusting, huh!?!) so you’ll have to be prepared to defend yourself. Below are 3 ways P90X could help you survive a Zombie outbreak.

Also, I’m no expert on Zombies so I had to do a little bit of research on this one. For anyone who is a Zombie expert or who knows anything about Zombies, make sure to leave some feedback or any suggestions. This will benefit us all so we can be better prepared.

1. Zombies lack agility and can’t jump, but you know how to jump like Spiderman from doing P90X Plyometrics.

According to the Zombie Survival Guide, zombies lack agility and “no one has ever observed a zombie jumping, either from one spot to another or simply up and down.” This is a distinct advantage to you, since you’ve been doing P90X Plyometrics. If you find yourself face to face with a Zombie, do a quick Circle Run around the zombie (with enough distance from the Zombie so that it can’t reach out and touch you) to confuse it. Then run like crazy! It is preferred that you run towards a path or anywhere that has obstacles that the Zombie will have to walk around or attempt to go over. You will have the advantage by doing this since you can simply jump over any obstacles that come your way or you can quickly go around them with ease. You’ll soon find that the Zombie will either trip and fall or that it will simply get confused on how to get around a particular obstacle allowing you to get away.

2. Kenpo X could become your saving grace in tight quarters with a Zombie.

What if your inside your shelter (you have no weapons on you), and somehow a Zombie finds it’s way into your sleeping quarters, or some other very small area. You’ll have no choice but to punch, kick, and jab your way out of this situation. You should use the moves that you learned in P90X Kenpo X.  Give the Zombie a quick jab, cross punch, hook, and then upper cut in the jaw. This should do enough to get the Zombie off balance so that you can make a run for it. Better yet, it might be an even smarter idea to avoid touching the Zombie and to just give it a good ole’ ball kick and a side kick. This ensures any contact with the Zombie is on your shoes versus your bare hands. All it takes is one small cut on your hand and you have a good chance of turning into a Zombie yourself from coming in contact with it.

*It is very important to remember that you should only use the Kenpo X moves in tight quarters, and when you don’t have any other weapons or any other way to get away from the Zombie. Zombies are very slow and it’s always better to avoid contact and just run (so you don’t get infected and become a Zombie too). You may be in a situation when you have no choice but to use hand-to-hand combat, and that is when knowing the Kenpo X moves will be to your advantage.

3. The P90X Legs and Back routine will allow you to climb out of any situation.

As discussed earlier, Zombies lack agility and coordination. Per the Zombie Survival Guide, “even in the case of ladders, when simple hand-over-hand coordination is required, only one in four Zombies will succeed.” That is yet another distinct advantage you’ll have over Zombies as a result of P90X.  From the Legs and Back routine, you’ll be able to scale just about anything to make an escape. The Zombies will attempt to follow you, but as long as the surface is slightly more difficult to climb than a regular ladder, you’ll be ok. Just remember that whatever you’re climbing, to make sure you have an escape plan or know how to survive where ever you are climbing too. A tree for an example would probably be a bad place to climb to since the Zombie will simply wait for your to come down. However, if you know that a rescue party will be coming for you, than a tree might not be a bad place to hang out until you’re rescued.

So as you can see, P90X will give you a distinct advantage should there be a Zombie outbreak. Make sure you’re ready for the next outbreak and start the P90X program now! Also, as I mentioned earlier if you are a Zombie expert, please leave any feedback or additional suggestions that you have.
