Well, I had planned on doing X Stretch today, but I ended up running out of time. Today is day 49 of my P90X workout and it’s a rest day for me! I thought today was going to be a relaxing day (and I would have plenty of time to do X Stretch), but I ended up running around trying to catch up on all of the errands I needed to do. I had a whole list of things that I’ve been putting of and putting off, and I got tired of seeing that list, so I went ahead and did a majority of the errands.
Today is day 48 of my P90X workout, and I just finished Kenpo X. I really enjoy this workout, but it feels like it is getting too easy! I always try to punch, kick, jab, and block as hard as I can (without banging my joints), and I also do the jumping jacks as fast as I can during the breaks. Even doing those things, the intensity level just isn’t all that high.
I just finished my P90X workout for the day, Legs & Back, and Ab Ripper X. Today I felt like my mind was somewhere else during the Legs & Back workout. I kept thinking of everything that I needed to do after I finished the workout. I made it through all of the exercises, but I really didn’t push myself all that hard. I hate it when I have days like this!
P90X Yoga X Crane
Today is day 46 of my P90X workout, and I just finished Yoga X. I was actually able to hold the Crane today for about 2-3 seconds until I lost my balance!!! That doesn’t seem very long, but it’s an eternity for me! Prior to today, I haven’t really been able to get into Crane at all. I would attempt to get into the pose by leaving one foot on the floor, and I would barely lift the other foot off the ground and I would pretty much fall instantly (I may have held it for a few milliseconds). I thought holding it for 2-3 seconds was pretty good for someone who is extremely inflexible, and who has never really done any Yoga prior to P90X. I really might be able to hold the Crane for the entire time by the end of P90X!
Today is day 45 of my P90X workout, which means I am officially half way done P90X!!! I can’t believe that I’m already at the halfway point! Time has flown by! Today I killed my biceps during Back & Biceps!! For all of the exercises I used 25 pound dumbbells (last week I used 25 pounds for half of the exercises, and then I went down to 20 pounds). Also, I used 30 pound dumbbells for the first set of Lawnmowers, and I started out with the 30 pound dumbbells with the Strip-Set Curls instead of the 25 pound dumbbells. By the end of the workout my biceps were extremely sore! For the pull ups, I increased by 1 or more reps for all sets except for the Switch Grip Pull ups (I did the same number of reps from last week). During the Towel Pull ups I ended up doing 12 reps versus only 9 from last week.
PHEW! I just finished Plyometrics and I’m exhausted!! For some reason I didn’t have as much energy during this P90X workout from last week. I still think I did pretty good though. I remember when I first started doing Plyometrics and just doing the warm-up would kill me. While my legs still burn somewhat towards the end of the warm-up, it’s definitely not as hard as it used to be.
