Today is day 37 of my P90X workout, and I just finished Plyometrics. It kicked my butt like usual, but I feel like I’m making some good progress with this workout. All of the different variations of squats always kill my legs, but today I was able to get through more of the squat exercises without stopping.

P90X Chest, Shoulders & Triceps Weighted Circles

I just completed day 36 of my P90X workout! Today was Chest, Shoulders & Triceps, and Ab Ripper X. I was actually pretty disappointed on how I did with Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps today. For the most part I did the same number of reps as I did last week, but I was able to increase the weight and add a few reps here and there (mainly in the beginning of the workout). I feel like I should have been able to push out more reps during more of the exercises. About a quarter of the way through the workout, I just totally crashed and I had no energy whatsoever. I also developed a really bad headache.

P90X Day 35 Completed: Rest or X Stretch

Today is day 35 of my P90X workout, and it was a rest day for me. I ended up not having enough time to complete X Stretch. This is the first day that I have missed X Stretch so it feels really strange not to pop in a P90X DVD!

Unfortunately, I have eaten a TON of crap today and I really feel like I should do some type of cardio workout before I go to bed. This weekend I have my Coast Guard drills (I’m in the Coast Guard Reserves) so I basically have to eat whatever they serve. Recently it seems like they’ve been only making super greasy, unhealthy food.

P90X Kenpo X Elbow Series

I just completed day 34 of my P90X workout, which means week 5 is basically done! Today was Kenpo X, and it went great like usual! I always have fun doing the Kenpo X workout. You can channel any negative energy that you have into the punches, kicks, and jabs to get a really good cardio workout. This workout was a little more painful then usual because my legs (from my glutes all the way to my calves) were sore, and my back & biceps were somewhat sore. This week has felt like P90X week 1 from how sore I’ve been!

P90X Legs and Back Wall Squat

Day 33 of my P90X workout is over! Today I had to do Legs and Back and Ab Ripper X. I think P90X Legs and Back went pretty good today. For all of the leg exercises that Tony recommends using dumbbells, I used dumbbells. I used pretty light weight (only 15 pounds), but that seemed to do the trick because my legs started burning very fast (my legs were burning going up and down the stairs to get to my P90X chin up bar). I think next week I’ll try to up my weight to 20 or 25 pounds to ensure I get that burn again. The wall squats were painful like usual, but I got through them. Also, I wasn’t able to get through all of the reps during the 80/20 Cyber-Speed Squat again, but I pushed for as long as I could.

P90X Downward Dog

I just completed day 32 of my P90X workout, Yoga X. Today was one of those days where I was extremely anxious to get through Yoga X. I kept thinking about all of the things I needed to do after the workout (even though Tony Horton specifically says not to do this). I also kept starring at the timer hoping it would go down faster. Sometimes it’s easier said then done to push everything aside and to focus solely on the workout. I did my usual routine of shutting the door to my home office, as well as turn off my cell phone, but that didn’t help today. I guess there will always be days like this at times, especially when there are a million things that need to get done!
