PHEW! I just finished Plyometrics and I’m exhausted!! For some reason I didn’t have as much energy during this P90X workout from last week. I still think I did pretty good though. I remember when I first started doing Plyometrics and just doing the warm-up would kill me. While my legs still burn somewhat towards the end of the warm-up, it’s definitely not as hard as it used to be.
Today I made it through the first sequence without stopping, but I ended up stopping during the first set of the Run-Stance Squat Switch Pick-up to give my legs a break. I didn’t have much of a lunch today before Plyometrics (I ate what was left of last night’s dinner which wasn’t much), so I think that may have had something to do with me running out of energy. Also, the Rock Star Hop, Jump Knee Tuck, and the Squat Jack seemed to be a little more painful today than usual. I did my best though and I did as many reps as I could do.
Tomorrow is Back & Biceps and I’m really excited for this workout! I feel like I’m definitely getting better at the P90X cardio workouts, but I still enjoy the weight lifting workouts more!
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Small plate of Egg Beaters eggs and shredded cheese.
Lunch: Left over chili with chicken instead of beef.
Mid-Afternoon: P90X Recovery drink after P90X Plyometrics.
Dinner: A salmon fillet and a salad.
After-Dinner: Protein shake.
