P90X Kenpo X Elbow Series
I just completed day 34 of my P90X workout, which means week 5 is basically done! Today was Kenpo X, and it went great like usual! I always have fun doing the Kenpo X workout. You can channel any negative energy that you have into the punches, kicks, and jabs to get a really good cardio workout. This workout was a little more painful then usual because my legs (from my glutes all the way to my calves) were sore, and my back & biceps were somewhat sore. This week has felt like P90X week 1 from how sore I’ve been!
This weekend is going to be a very hard weekend on my P90X diet! I have my Coast Guard drills this weekend (I’m in the Coast Guard Reserves) so I basically have to eat whatever they serve. Last month when I had drills, the food they served was pretty bad health wise (it was a lot of fried, unhealthy food). It really all depends on who is cooking on what kind of food we will be having. The one good thing though is that they have recently installed a salad bar that they usually fill up with all kinds of vegetables and such. If all else, I guess I could eat salads all weekend. I could even bring my protein powder with me to ensure I get enough protein. Maybe it won’t be a bad weekend after all! Also, since I have Coast Guard this weekend, I may not have time to do the X Stretch tomorrow like usual. I’m going to bring the P90X DVD with me just in case I have time.
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with lettuce, provolone cheese, and extra virgin olive oil dressing.
Mid-Afternoon: P90X Recovery drink after Kenpo X. Also had a protein shake.
Dinner: Tilapia fish, whole grain rice, and a salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar dressing.
After-Dinner: Protein shake.
