P90X Plyometrics
P90X Plyometrics was one of those workouts that I initially dreaded and HATED when I first started P90X. Why did I dread P90X Plyometrics? Because it targeted my two weakest points…cardio and my legs. When I first started P90X I had little endurance (I hated running and I’m still not a big fan today), and I had little dinky legs with not much leg strength.
So after I did P90X Plyometrics for the very first time I literally could barely walk the next day due to pain from the soreness. Has that happened to you with P90X Plyometrics? Have you done P90X Plyometrics and then been super extremely sore from it the next day and had a hard time walking?
That is very normal with “P90X Plyometrics” especially if you’re doing it for the first time. For a lot of people (myself included) when doing this workout for the first time, it’s one of the hardest workouts you’ve ever done. You just don’t do stuff like this in gym class! :-)
The big problem comes if you start dreading P90X Plyometrics (like I did) because of that initial soreness you felt after the first time doing it. You don’t want your negative feelings to the workout cause you to half a** it or to skip P90X Plyometics all together. You also don’t want to get yourself so sore that you’re not able to do the other workouts or even worse you injure yourself so you’re out of commission for a while.
In this post I’m going to give you 5 tips to help you get through P90X Plyometrics without dying. :-) I’m obviously being over dramatic and being goofy, but these tips shouldn’t be taken lightly. These tips will help P90X Plyometrics be more bearable especially if you’re just starting P90X.

5 Tips To Help You Get Through P90X Plyometics Without Dying
#1 – P90X Plyometrics Tips
For the first week, follow Pam The Blam. It’s so easy to jump into to P90X and then go all out during P90X Plyometrics and do the regular moves versus the modified versions that Pam does. Most people don’t know their physical limits when going into P90X and they push themselves TOO hard and pay for it the next day (like I did). The best way to avoid this it to just follow Pam the Blam and do the modified versions of the exercises. Also, take breaks when you need to and you may even want to hold back just a little bit until you learn your limits.

Just know that you WILL get stronger and better at it with time. I was pretty frustrated during P90X Plyometrics during my first month of P90X. It just felt incredibly hard and it didn’t seem like I was getting any better. With time though as I stuck with the workouts I did find that P90X Plyometrics was getting easier (as crazy as that sounds). So just know that as you stick with it and you keep doing your best, you WILL get stronger and better at P90X Plyometics.

Take breaks when you need to and LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. Don’t try to be as super hero when going through P90X Plyometrics (or any of the P90X workouts). You absolutely MUST listen to your body and take breaks when needed. If you don’t, then you risk injuring yourself which would derail you from completing P90X and accomplishing your goals. You also really ought to consider getting a heart rate monitor and using it religiously during P90X (especially if you’re going through the program for the first time). This will allow you to track your heart rate so that you stay in “the zone,” but it will also allow you to make sure you don’t get your heart rate too high.

As Tony Horton says, “Do your best and forget the rest.” Really take that to heart during P90X Plyometrics and ALL the other workouts. Don’t get frustrated if you can’t keep up with the people doing P90X on the DVD’s. Just do the very best that you can, and don’t worry about anything else. This is very likely going to be the hardest workout program you’ve ever done before, but stick with it no matter what and do your best since it can literally change your life.

Get as much outside support and motivation that you can get. One easy simple way to get some extra support and motivation is to sign up for a free Team Beachbody account by clicking here. I’ll automatically be assigned as your personal success Coach so you’ll have someone there for you who has been through the same struggles that you’re going through. Also, tell the WORLD what you are doing on Facebook, Twitter, by texting, picking up the phone, etc. Tell them that you are going through P90X and that you are determined to go through ALL 90 days. Ask them for their support and tell them,”Whenever we see each other, please ask me how P90X is going.” Stating to the world what you are doing and asking for support will make it much more likely for you to go through the entire program and accomplish your goals.
