So what the heck is the P90X Fitness Test? The P90X Fitness Test is the starting point with P90X. This the test you take prior to starting the program to make sure you are physically ready to do P90X. It will also help you to track the progress you’ve made with the program. At the end of 90 days with P90X you’ll be re-taking the P90X Fitness Test which will show you how much you’ve improved as a result of the program.
By the way, if you are researching how to take the P90X Fitness Test, you are obviously about to start the program (or deciding between a program). So I want to just say CONGRATS! Congrats for committing to creating a healthier, stronger YOU! To give yourself an added edge or advantage so you are more likely to stick with the program, make sure you create a free Team Beachbody account here. By doing so, you’ll get me as your personal success Coach and you’ll gain access to all kinds of helpful, free tools to help keep you motivated and so you ultimately succeed and accomplish your goals.Continue reading
So what equipment do you need for P90X? I’m assuming that you’ve obviously committed to starting P90X, so CONGRATS! The P90X workout is an incredible program that has changed my life (not to sound cliché) and it has transformed tens of thousands (if not hundreds and hundreds of thousands) of other people’s lives. I’ve been doing the program for over a year and a half now and I’m truly in the best shape of my life because of it.
If you are serious about getting the results you want with the program, then you must be prepared and have everything you need to do the program before you actually start. You don’t want to not be able to do some of the workouts or exercises because you don’t have the equipment that you need for P90X. “What equipment do you need for P90X,” is a question I get all the time so I’m going to go over exactly that in this blog post!Continue reading
P90X Phase 2
P90X Phase 2 here I come! It’s been quite sometime since I’ve done an update on where I’m at with my fitness journey (last time was in February) so I wanted to give you an update on what’s been going on, what I’m currently doing now, and where I’m headed.
The last I did an update I was doing a P90X Insanity Hybrid. I didn’t officially finish the P90X Insanity hybrid, rather I ended up just going back to P90X. I would do P90X and throw in the Insanity workouts every now and then (so kind of like the hybrid, but not as structured). I did that for about 3 months or so. I didn’t have any particular goals in mind during that time rather I just wanted to maintain what I had. Eventually I got tired of just doing “enough” to get by and maintain what I had so I figured it was time that I re-committed myself to P90X. So that’s what I did and now I’m in P90X Phase 2…Continue reading
The debate between P90X vs Insanity continues! I constantly get questions from people asking me if P90X is better than Insanity (or vice versa), or just asking which fitness program is better for them. I try to explain to everyone that trying to compare P90X and Insanity is like comparing apples to bananas. They are two completely different workout programs, but I figured I’d still try to do my best and compare the two.
Unlike a lot of people who try to do a P90X vs Insanity comparison, I’ve have gone through BOTH workout programs. I’ve been doing P90X for over a year now, and I’ve gone through a full 60 days of Insanity. I’ll go ahead and start off with a simple P90X vs Insanity comparison chart, and then I’ll give you my opinion on P90X and Insanity. Regardless what program you decide to do, you need to do what’s best for YOU!Continue reading
Looking for the P90X workout sheets? Then you’ve found what you need because on this page you’ll find the P90X workout sheets, P90X calendar and some tips and suggestions on how exactly to use them. When doing P90X I highly recommend that you use the P90X workout sheets to keep track of your reps, the weight you use, and to just take notes on any issues or problems that you have. This is CRITICAL to your success with P90X! This will help you to track your progress and to see where you’re going. It will also show you if you need to increase the weight of your dumbbells and how many reps you need to do to push yourself harder.
As Tony Horton likes to say,”With knowledge, comes power, and with power comes CHANGE!” So USE your P90X workout sheets during ALL of your workouts!Continue reading
I tend to get quite a bit of questions on the P90X Nutrition Guide so I figured it was about time that I put together a blog post on it. On this page I’ll let you know if it is really worth the time and effort to follow it, and I’ll go over some solutions if you lost your P90X Nutrition Guide, or your friend stole it, etc.
The very short and sweet answer to if you should follow the P90X Nutrition Guide is YES! Here’s the long and very blunt and honest answer…If you are TRULY serious about getting results with the P90X workout, then you MUST follow the P90X Nutrition guide or some other high protein, clean and healthy eating plan (I’ll go over a few P90X Nutrition Plan alternatives later in this post). Following a healthy eating plan is JUST as important as doing your daily P90X workouts.Continue reading
