Today is day 58 of my P90X workout, and I just finished Plyometrics. I was sweating like crazy throughout the workout even with it being about 63 degrees in my home with the ceiling fan on high! Plyometrics was extremely tiring, but I think overall I got a pretty good workout.
I made the mistake today of leaving my cell phone ringer on when I started Plyometrics. During the first set of the Jump Knee Tuck my cell phone started ringing. I let it ring and I continued the workout, but a few minutes later I decided to pause the P90X DVD to see who it was that called (I kept wondering who it was ). I went to my office and I returned the call. I then noticed several emails in my Inbox that I needed to respond to, and I ended up dealing with them. So what should have been a 2 minute break, ended up being a 5-10 minute break! I’ll make sure to put my phone on silent next time so I don’t get distracted.
The rest of the workout went really well. I decided since I took such a long break early on, I’d go straight through the workout and not pause the DVD anymore. All of the squats killed my legs like usual, and my heart rate was definitely in the zone throughout the remaining exercises.
Also, I got a really good workout with Chest and Back yesterday!! My entire chest is extremely sore (it hurts to touch it) and my back is also pretty sore. It feels like week 1 of P90X all over again!
Nutrition for today-
Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.
Mid-Morning: Protein shake.
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with provolone cheese, and extra virgin olive oil dressing.
Mid-Afternoon: Cup of fruit juice blend prior to Plyometrics. Also had P90X Recovery drink after my P90X workout.
Dinner: I think tonight I’m going to have some fish, whole grain rice, and some vegetables.
After-Dinner: Protein shake.
