P90X Day 62 Completed: P90X Kenpo X

Today is day 62 of my P90X workout and I just finished Kenpo X! The workout went really great! I punched, jabbed, blocked, and kicked as hard as I could throughout the workout. I definitely got my heart rate up pretty high during this workout especially during the “breaks.”

I still need to get a new pair of weighted gloves! I returned the NordicTrack Wrist Weights back to Sears earlier this week, but I still haven’t had time to go back to Dick’s Sporting Goods to buy the smaller pair. I need to try to make a point to get them soon before I have to do Kenpo X again next week. I’m sure this upcoming week will fly by like usual!

This weekend I have my Coast Guard drills again, so unfortunately it will probably be pretty hard to stick to my P90X diet (I basically have to eat whatever they serve or not eat at all). Last month I was hoping they would serve some healthy food and not just fried, greasy food all weekend, but they ended up doing just that. This time I’m bringing 4 servings of my protein powder, and a couple Fiber One bars to eat as a snack if needed. I’m trying to prevent a repeat of P90X day 36! My workout that day went horrible (I finished up my Coast Guard drills earlier in the day) mainly due to the lack of calories. Instead of filling up on super unhealthy, greasy food that day I ended up just not eating much food at all, which really affected my workout. I’ll definitely make sure to have a good solid lunch before my workout on Sunday.

Well, I basically only have 3 more weeks of P90X to go (which is crazy to think about)! For everyone doing P90X, stick with your P90X diet, and keep giving the workouts your all!!!

Nutrition for today-

Breakfast: Bowl of Fiber One cereal, and a protein shake.

Mid-Morning: Protein shake.

Lunch: Leftover Sloppy Joe’s from a few nights ago (I finally finished eating all of the leftovers). As mentioned before, Sloppy Joe’s are usually pretty unhealthy, but these were actually not bad at all (they were loaded with protein). These were homemade, and my wife made them with lean ground turkey. The recipe called for brown sugar, but my wife used Splenda brown sugar. They were really good!

Mid-Afternoon: Protein shake and P90X Recovery drink after Kenpo X.

Dinner: I’m not sure what we are going to have for dinner this evening. It will definitely be some type of seafood though.

After-Dinner: Protein shake.
