I did a blog post last week about how to take “P90X Kenpo X” to a whole new level. Well, I know some people prefer videos instead of reading so I put together a video where I walk you through 5 tips that will take P90X Kenpo X to a whole new level.
The longer you do P90X Kenpo X, you will find with time that this workout will get easy. P90X Legs and Back used to be one of the P90X workouts that I hated the most…yep I’ll admit it! :-) Why did I hate this workout so much? The same reason I disliked the P90X Plyometrics workout. I had puny little legs and the P90x Legs and Back workout would crush my legs! Not only would I be huffing and puffing (struggling to catch my breath) as I went through the exercises, but by the end of this workout it’d be painful to go up and down the stairs in our home.
For a lot of people like myself, P90X Legs and Back is a tough workout. You may even dread this workout like I used to. With time I have learned to love P90X Legs and Back (ok, maybe not LOVE, but let’s just say like). While it still isn’t one of my favorite workouts, it’s a workout that works my weakest points so I NEED this workout more then any of the other P90X workouts.
In this post I’m going to give you 5 tips that will help you learn to like P90X Legs and Back if you currently dread it like I did. If you already enjoy and like P90X Legs and Back then these tips should help you to love it even more.Continue reading
So what P90X2 equipment do you need to be able to do the next P90X, P90X2? If you’ve already gone through the original P90X, then you very likely have most of the P90X2 equipment that you’ll need. There are though some optional P90X2 equipment that you’ll want to get so you can take things to a whole new level. I’ll give you a hint on some of the optional equipment…it has something to do with balls! :-)
In this post I wanted to give you a run down on the “P90X2 equipment” that you must have to be able to do this program, and I’ll also go over the optional P90X2 equipment.Continue reading

Not That Kind of Diary - How To Keep A Food Diary!
Want to almost guarantee that you’ll lose weight, get ripped, or even bulk up? Then stick with your workouts (everyone knows that one), but you ALSO need to figure out your numbers, and then keep a food diary! I know, I know, keeping a food diary isn’t exciting, it doesn’t sound fun, and it can be a pain when starting out.
I used to be one of those people who were against counting calories since it seemed like such an impossible task to do that average people like myself can never stick to. Why is it so hard to keep track of your numbers (the number of calories, protein, carbs, and fat that you take in each day)? Well, I think the answer to that is obvious. That would mean for every piece of food you put in your mouth, every liquid you drink, you’ll need to record the calories, protein, carbs and fat.Continue reading

MiR Weighted Vest
I found the “MiR Weighted Vest” online when I got to a point where I wanted to easily be able to step up the intensity of the P90X workouts without doing a million reps. After doing 2 rounds of P90X I was doing 20+ reps during the different pushup variations (for the standard pushups I was doing 30+ reps), and I was doing 15 to 20+ reps during the different pull ups variations.
I was doing a TON of reps and I got to the point with a few moves that I’d still be doing reps when the time for that particular P90X exercise would run out. I even started dreading some of the workouts because I kept worrying that I wouldn’t be able to pump out a few more reps then I did before.
So I went a mission to find a good solid weighted vest that you could use to add some weight to the equation. I did a TON of research because some of the weighted vests weren’t all that cheap. Also, I wanted a weighted vest that I could do with P90X Plyometrics if I wanted to, which involves a ton of jumping. So the weighted vest needed to be comfortable, snug, and one that wouldn’t move around if I was doing the moves in P90X Plyometrics.Continue reading
